Alyce Colyer Tice

Ms. Alyce Ann Colyer Tice, age 83, of Barnesville, passed away January 20, 2024.

She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, daughter of the late George Colyer and Alice LaVoy Colyer. Mrs. Tice was a homemaker who enjoyed baking bread and quilting.  She made over 60 quilts that she shared with family and friends. She also enjoyed knitting hats and mittens for children in the Appalachian Mountains.  Mrs. Tice took great care of her husband and family, who she dearly loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Helen Tice and great-grandson, Brantley Lively.

She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 65 years: Charles Raymond Tice; children: Michael Allen Tice (Mina), Patricia Tice Kite (Don), David Charles Tice, Sr. (Sheila); grandchildren: Charles Akin (Brian), Amanda Bethea (John), Caleb Akin (Renee), Wade Jenkins, April Lively (Shay), DJ Tice (Heather), Raymond Tice (Tiffany), Jacob Tice, Natalie Tice, Isabella Tice, Thomas Blazon, Andrew Blazon, Samantha Kite (Jessica) and Jacob Kite; great-grandchildren: Katelynn Hartzog (Garrett), Dalton Mobley (Savannah), Amanda Henry (Ty), Alex Bethea (Shelby), Amelia Akin, Lorelei Akin, Dylan Lively (Kristan), Whit Tice, Collins Tice, Axel Tice, and Karson Tice; great-great-grandchildren: Sterling Hartzog, Jonathon Henry, Dalton Lively, Reagan Lively, and Thomas Lively; brothers: William "Bill" Colyer (Sandy), George Colyer (JoAnn), Walter "Walt" Colyer (Kathy), and Paul Colyer (Barb); many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
