Arthur Ray Conner

Mr. Arthur Ray Conner, age 83, of Zebulon, passed away April 13, 2022, at his home. He was born in Thomaston, son of the late John Lee Conner and Hazel Owannee Anderson. Mr. Conner was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an electrician for J. C. Penney for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Thomaston and enjoyed fishing and carpentry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanine Conner and Jewel Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years:  Carol Conner; children: Vince Conner, Sherrie Phillips (Shane), Samuel Conner (Ophelia) and Daniel Conner;  grandchildren: Chris Barclay (Caitlin), Mallory Smith, Kristen Phillips, Javier Conner, Jasmine Conner; great-grandchildren: Griffin and Miller Barclay; brothers: William "Bill" Conner and John Lee Conner; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 16, at 1 p.m., in Moody Memorial Gardens, with Mr. Vince Conner officiating.

Friends may visit the family 30 minutes before the service at the funeral home.
