Barbara Landers

Mrs. Barbara Arvelia Murphy Landers, age 89, of Zebulon, passed away February 26, 2024, at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough.  She grew up in Zebulon, daughter of the late Claude S. Murphy and Ruby Arvelia Campbell Murphy.  Barbara enjoyed cooking, watching old westerns, working in her yard and flower gardening.  She attended Newnan Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Douglas Landers, her sister, Dorothy Crowder, and her brother, James Murphy.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law:  Judy and Johnnie Pilgrim; grandsons: Johnnie Lee Pilgrim IV and Joseph Douglas "J. D." Pilgrim (Emily); several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 2 p.m., in Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.  Friends may visit the family beginning 45 minutes prior to the service at graveside.
