Mrs. Betty Henderson Williams Calvert, age 86, of Pike County, passed away January 13, 2022, at her home. She was born in Concord, daughter of the late Harold Henderson and Maude Fogarty Henderson. Betty graduated from Zebulon High School in 1953. She was a hard worker and for most of her life she worked in the mill. After retiring, she took a job at Roses Department Store in Griffin where she worked for 27 years. She then worked for the post office, where she retired again. Betty loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping and flowers. She was the matriarch of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Harvey Hoyt Williams and Charlie O. "Buck" Calvert, her children, Marilyn Kay Phillips, Danny Hoyt Williams, and William "Bill" Calvert, brothers, Lee Henderson and Lewis Henderson, sister, Anne Ison, 10 sisters-in-law and 10 brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Pam Williams, Tim and Kathy Calvert, Martha Jean Calvert, and Sheryl and Hal McGinnis; sisters and a brother-in-law: Virginia and Bill Callaway and Mattie Wohner; brother: J. W. Henderson (Bobbie Wester); daughter-in-law: Joette Williams; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Ison, Clifford Williams (Linda) and Cecil Williams; sister-in-law: Sybil Denton; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 4:00 p.m., at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 14550 US 19, Griffin. Rev. Jim Hardie and Rev. Tyson Roache will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, January 15, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the church.
