Brian Ballard

Mr. Christopher Brian Ballard, age 48, of Griffin, passed away April 13, 2026, at his home. Brian grew up in Griffin. He worked for many years as an electrical inspector with SSL Services LLC.

Brian was a kind and tenderhearted soul who truly never met a stranger. He had a gift for conversation and could make anyone feel like an old friend. Brian left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He had a special love for cats and found joy in being outdoors and working in his yard. He will be remembered for his warm heart, easy going nature, and the genuine kindness he showed to all.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Marilene Buffington Ballard, his grandparents, James M. "Chick" Buffington and Eugenia Lyles Buffington.

He is survived by his aunt: Catherine Buffington Anderson (Jeffrey); cousins: Rodney Reagan (Tammy), David Reagan (Emily), and Angela Graziano; many other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 4920 New Hope, Zebulon.

There will be a gathering of friends and family after the service at the Ballard residence.
