Carole Smith

Carole Wallace Smith, age 74, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 14 ^th , 2023, at her residence after a long illness. Carole was born in Griffin and was a life-long resident of Spalding County. Carole was a retired City of Griffin employee. She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Janie Hammond Wallace, daughter, Terrie Ann, grandchildren, Johnathan and Marianna Pitts, and a special aunt Shirley Hammond.

Carole was a loving wife, mother, and sibling. She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Z. Dorton Smith, son: Jason; and daughter: Maria; brother: John Wallace (Heidi), sisters: Sheila (Randy) Goen and Beth (Roger) McDavid; grandchildren: Angela (Philip) Lewis, Jacob Pitts, Bailey and Parker Smith; great-grandchildren: Ariana, Deegan, Kingston and Adalena Lewis and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, March 19, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
