Mrs. Caroline Marie Garr, 86, of Williamson, GA, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Caroline was born on March 14, 1938, to Louis and Marie Triozzi in Brooklyn, New York. She was the wife of the late John F. Garr, Sr. of Williamson, GA.
Caroline retired from Gardener and Merck Insurance Company, then moved to Palm Bay, FL for a few years, then to Williamson with her husband John after buying a cattle farm.
She is preceded in death by her husband John, brother Phillip, and sisters Marie and Concetta.
Caroline was strong-willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart. She will be missed dearly. Her hobbies included visiting casinos, playing bingo, crocheting and reading.
She is survived by four children and their spouses: Carol A. Richardella (Alfred), Donna M. King (Patrick), John Garr, Jr. and Robert L. Garr (Melanie); four grandchildren: Melissa (Yockery), John Michael (Ashley), Amber (Kyle) and Lacy; great-grandchildren: David Jr. (Courtney), Thomas "T.J." (Breanna), Christopher and Braylan; great-great-grandchildren: Blakelynn and Kashlynn.
Caroline was one of six children in which she leaves the two youngest behind, sister: Frances and brother Michael, along with numerous nieces and nephews; and life-long friend, Joan Walsh.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, July 14, at 5 p.m., at her home in Williamson.
