Charles Cecil Williams, Sr.

Mr. Charles Cecil Williams, Sr., age 77, of Barnesville, passed away November 9, 2024.

Cecil was born on November 28, 1946, in Pike County, son of the late James Tommie Williams and the late Mary Emma Huddleston Williams. He grew up in Pike County but spent most of his adult life in Barnesville. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and was Past Commander of the VFW in Barnesville. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers, fishing for catfish, and camping. Cecil was retired from Fashion Industries.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cookie Williams; brothers, Hoyt, Hanson, Carvel, Franklin, Clifford, Norman, Merrill, and Auris; sisters, Evelyn and Carol.

Survivors include his daughter, Carla Williams of Barnesville; son and daughter in law, Charles C. Williams, Jr. (Angela) of Barnesville; sister, Sybil Denton of Barnesville; step-daughter, Sandra Taylor; grandchildren, Chasity Williams, and Chase Williams (Amya); great grandson, Logan.

It was Cecil's wish to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
