Cheryl Letitia Golden

Mrs. Cheryl Letitia Golden of Fayetteville, Georgia, daughter of the late Robert Harvey and Shirley Jakes Springer, passed away August 31, 2026.

Born and raised in Florida, she loved the sand and the beach life. It was her happy place. In 1993, she moved to Georgia where she has lived since but would return to visit her hometown or any beach to catch the sunshine. Not only was Cheryl beautiful both inside and out, but she had a generous heart. She truly enjoyed helping others and was known as a friend to everyone with a big smile and a warm hug that made everyone feel special. She had a passion for adventure, traveling, shopping, decorating, listening to music, hiking, boating, fishing, and even hunting. Above all, she loved her family deeply, which included her fur babies. Over the past few years, she enjoyed her and her husband’s Florida vacation homes in Dunnellon and Cedar Key where she continued to chase sunsets and enjoy the Florida lifestyle. Cheryl was a talented woman that worked in special education, the medical field and in real estate in her lifetime but her favorite role was wife, mom, grandmother (“Nanni”) and homemaker for her family. She especially loved her siblings and her nephews and nieces and their babies. Cheryl was a strong woman that fought hard with her cancer journey over 6 years. Her unwavering faith was her strength and she was never afraid to share her testimony. She was a devoted Christian that attended Christ Chapel in Zebulon, Georgia and Passion City Church Trilith in Fayetteville, Georgia.

She is survived by her husband: Terry Golden; daughter: Kristin Turner (Trent); son: Blake Phillips; step-son: Jeremy Golden (and D); brothers: John Springer (Michelle) and Robin Springer (Robin); sister: Kathy Watkins; grandchildren: Conner, Cashton, Cole, and Camryn Turner; her beloved fur babies: Briggs, Emory, and Gypsy; and her nephews, nieces, extended family members, and dear friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Bobby Watkins, and her precious fur baby, Parker.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 2 P.M. at Christ Chapel Church in Zebulon, Georgia. Pastor Billy Smith will be officiating. Friends are invited to visit the family from 1-2 P.M. at the church.
