Cindy Martin

Mrs. Cynthia Y. Martin, age 71, of Barnesville, passed away October 17, 2022.  She was born in Griffin, daughter of the late Dr. William Emerson Bizzell and Sonora Henderson Bizzell.  She was a graduate of Griffin High School. Cindy taught in the Pike County School System for 30 years and then was a counselor there for an additional 3 years before retiring. She loved horses and was an expert in the equestrian field.  In 1996, Cindy judged Dressage Olympic events at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers.

She is survived by her husband: Cary W. Martin; daughter: Delana Smith; granddaughters: Kyleigh Smith and Bayleigh Smith; sister and brother-in-law: Mr. and Mrs. David Barton.

Her family will hold a private service. Cindy will be buried at Griffin Memorial Gardens.
