Mr. Curtley "Curt" Franklin Neal, Jr., age 82, of Peachtree City, passed away May 25, 2022, at his home. Curt grew up in the Grant Park area of Atlanta, son of the late Curtley Franklin Neal, Sr. and Rachel Aseneth Humphrey Neal. He was a veteran of the United States Military serving as a First Lieutenant in the Army Infantry. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 32 years. He went back to work as a vice president of Mitsubishi before retiring again. Curt was greatly involved in his community as a volunteer fireman, emergency medical technician, and teacher's aide at Tyrone Elementary School. He was a faithful member of Woolsey Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Most importantly, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Myrna and Marion Neal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years: Maxine Neal; sons and daughters-in-law: David and Windi Neal of Williamson and Matt and Donnah Neal of Sharpsburg; sister and brother-in-law: Lynn and Walt Horne of Rome; 15 grandchildren: Megan, Madison, Hannah, Susannah, Willem, Christian Matthew, Annaliese, Isaiah, Elsie Grace, Kylah, Meliah, Juliette, Gideon, Noelle and Talitha; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31, at 3 p.m., in Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road, Fayetteville. Pastor Chuck Chambers will officiate. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.
