Daniel Wicks

Mr. Daniel Jeffrey "Jeff" Wicks, age 75, of Griffin, passed away September 20, 2021, at Brightmoor Hospice.  He was born in New York, son of the late Edward Theodore Wicks and Annie Ruth Ivey Wicks.  Jeff was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a correctional officer for Spalding County for 20 years before retiring. Jeff enjoyed boating, trips to the lake, construction and woodworking projects.

He is survived by his wife:  Sherry Wicks; children: Bonnie Rathbun (Terry) of Summerville, SC, Daniel Wicks (Danielle) of Milner, Ivey White (Brannon) of Thomaston, Toby Chappell of NY and Davis Chappell (Sherrielle) of Griffin; nine grandchildren, one great-grandson; brother: Tom and sister: Elaine; brother-in-law: Michael Keller Steele of Griffin, and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
