Mrs. Deborah Carolyn Mabrey Corley, age 60, of Meansville, passed away September 17, 2022, at her home. Deborah grew up in Meansville and graduated from Pike County High School. She loved children and enjoyed her job as a paraprofessional for Pike County Schools and more recently for Life Springs Church School in Zebulon. She loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening and watching the birds around her home. Deborah was a wonderful artist and liked to draw and paint. She was a member of Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene. Deborah loved her family, and her two sons meant the world to her.
Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Jordan Corley, her mother in-law and father-in-law, Bobby and Dot Corley and her brother-in-law, Jerry Corley.
She is survived by her husband: Johnny Corley; son: Jonathan Corley (Madison Cook) of Meansville; her granddaughter: Jaycee Corley, who called her Nina; parent: James and Carol Mabrey of Meansville; Brother and sister-in-law: Kevin and Stephanie Mabrey of Zebulon; sisters-in-law: Sandy Corley Weaver (Sammy) of Pike County and Shirley Corley of Clayton County.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, September 22, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Pine Mountain Church of the Nazarene, 1747 US Hwy. 19, Meansville.
A funeral service will follow at 5 p.m., at the church. Pastor Eric Boomer will officiate.
