Diane Curphey

Mrs. Diane Sharon Oxford Curphey, age 80, of Zebulon, passed away May 5, 2023, at her home.  She was born in Zebulon on April 17, 1943.  Diane spent all of her working life in the printing business. She and her husband, Dennis, were both members of the International Typographical Union for 30 years. In her younger years, Diane enjoyed riding her Indian motorcycle and driving race cars. She had the greenest thumb and could grow any kind of plant. She also enjoyed cooking. Diane was a wonderful, caring, and devoted mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Curphey and her brother, David Patton.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Colleen Curphey and Amy Hardy; grandchildren: Rachel Curphey, Destaney Curphey, Hailey Curphey, Callyn Holden O'neal-Curphey, Maci Fowler, Liam Fowler, and Michelle Alexander; 4 sons, 1 daughter; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 10 a.m., in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.
