Efren Elias Castillo

Efren Elias Castillo, the infant son of Magaly Morquecho and Eric Castillo, passed away October 6, 2023. On May 02, 2023, the parents of Efren Elias Castillo were told that their unborn baby was diagnosed with anencephaly and would not survive. The doctors recommended abortion, but the parents decided to keep their baby, and continue with the pregnancy. Although they knew this pregnancy journey was going to be hard, they put their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

On October 6th baby Elias was born at North Fulton Hospital at 12:29 pm. He was in his mother's womb for 42 weeks and survived outside the womb for 5 hours and 39 minutes. Being able to carry baby Elias for 42 weeks was a blessing. He will forever be in our hearts and memories. They could not have never done it without the Lord Jesus Christ because only through him were they able to have strength and peace. Forever we give praise and glory to the Lord. Amen!

Along with his parents, Efren is survived by his 3 brothers, Robin, Mariano, and Sebastian Castillo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastors Matias and Lucy Amaya officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
