Elaine Bostwick

Mrs. Martha Elaine Bostwick, age 82, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away October 13, 2023, at Brightmoor Nursing Care in Griffin.

Elaine was born on February 22, 1941, in Sunnyside, daughter of the late Samuel Cooper and the late Hattie Mae Stephens Cooper. She spent most of her adult years in Jonesboro where she was the Head Dietician at North Jonesboro Elementary School and was a bus driver for the Clayton County School System. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, often described as a nurturer. She loved cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bostwick; sons Ricky and Spike Bostwick; grandsons, Cole Bostwick and Heath Lane; 10 siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Elaine Davis of Sharpsburg; sons and daughter in law, Barry Bostwick and Rory Zwir-Bostwick of Mims, FL, Tim Bostwick of Woodland Park, CO; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tifany, Tabatha, Dustin, Rikki, Isaac, and Jacob; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Gracepointe Church in Peachtree City. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Friends may visit the family beginning at 12 Noon Saturday, at the church.
