Faye Bunn

Ms. Patricia "Faye" Jimmerson Ballard Bunn, age 88 of Griffin, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

Faye was born in Griffin, Georgia on May 21, 1936, the daughter of the late Trumie "T.W." Jimmerson and the late Carrie Sue Quick Jimmerson.

Faye grew up in Griffin, and graduated from Griffin High School, then marrying William T. Ballard, who served in the US Navy and the US Air Force. They served in several states, while having 3 children, until his retirement in 1972, moving back to Griffin, where he went to be with Jesus that same year. Then she married Sam R. Bunn, Sr. in 1974, and they served the Lord, and enjoyed their many grandchildren and traveling until his death in 2015.

Faye was a member of Carver Road Baptist Church where she faithfully volunteered as a prayer warrior and food pantry worker, even serving as a Vacation Bible School crew leader at the age of 86. She has always been such a Godly, selfless, and generous lady, as she supported many ministries faithfully over the years. She has always loved everyone, unconditionally, and never had a harsh word about anyone. She totally loved and cherished all of her children, grandchildren, and family. She was a true Proverbs woman.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Turner Ballard, and second husband Sam R. Bunn.

Survivors include her beloved children, William Gregory "Greg" Ballard (Darleen) of Griffin, Anita Faye Ballard Zahn (Paul) of Jackson, and Cynthia "Cindy" Susan Ballard Johnson (Mike) of Griffin; five step-children, Gail Bunn Park (Sam) of Zebulon, Sam Bunn, Jr., of Williamson, Terrell S. Bunn (Lisa), of Fayetteville, Julianne Bunn Bozeman (Stan) of Norcross, and Diane Healy of New York; 10 grandchildren, Mandi Zahn McGhin (Lyle), Jared Zahn (Colby), Ben Zahn, Jana Zahn Crumbley (Dustin), Turner Zahn, Nate Zahn (Maci), Daniel Zahn (Jenni), Levi Zahn (Kayla), Garrett Deason, and Abigail Blessitt (Chandler); 10 step-grandchildren, Bryan McBride (Shareen), Kevin Bunn (Brittany), Ashlyn Carter (Bryce), Kaycee Montgomery, Bailee Bunn, and Jada Johnson (Marty), Janet Huggins (Shane), Tess Frankum, Jason Pruitt (Heather), Tabetha Cooper (Hugh); many great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Jimmerson and Ferol Jimmerson (Sara); three nieces, many cousins, and close friends.

Visitation for Ms. Patricia "Faye" Jimmerson Ballard Bunn will be on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Carver Road Baptist Church. Reverend Jim Hardie and Reverend Brandon Foottit will officiate and Reverend John Nance will offer a prayer. A live stream of the service will be available to view via Facebook and the Carver Road Baptist Church App. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin.
