George Allen Nicholas

George Allen Nicholas left his earthly home on September 29, 2023, at home surrounded by his devoted family.  He was born in Mecklenburg County, NC on May 16, 1951.  He was the son of the late Carmine Franklin Nicholas and Barbara Gail Winecoff.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Allen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1987.  He retired from Northwest Airlines as an Avionics Engineer in 2001, and after retirement he pursued further education and received a Masters degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Esoteric Studies.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Claudia Honeycutt Nicholas, his daughter, Jennifer Nicholas, of Las Vegas NV, three granddaughters; Emani Smith, Halaya Rencher and Kendra Jones and one great-grandson, Armani.

A private memorial ceremony will be held at his home. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association Georgia Chapter, 5881 Glenridge Drive, Suite 200, Atlanta GA 30328.
