Helen Glass

Mrs. Helen Day Glass, age 82, of Concord, passed away March 2, 2025, at her home.  She grew up in Marietta, daughter of the late Herbert Day and Johnnie Lou Barfield Day.  Helen graduated from Sprayberry High School in Marietta. She worked for Gwinnett Public School System for 20 years.  She began her career as a substitute teacher and then moved to the county office where she worked in the Human Resources Department.  Helen loved to can, cook, bake and travel.  She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Glass, son, Keith Glass, grandson, Alex Glass, and sisters, Margaret and Louise.

She is survived by her daughter: Anita Neath (Doug) of Concord; grandchildren: Justin Neath, Sarah Neath, Ethan Neath (Shelby) and Christina Neath; great-grandchildren: Aubrey Neath and Emma Neath; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Simon officiating.
