Herman Shehee

Mr. Herman E. Shehee, age 83, of Griffin, passed away February 12, 2022, at his home.  He was born on June 10, 1938, son of the late Maurice E. Shehee and Eida "Eula" Payne Shehee. Herman was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  After being released from active duty, Herman took a job with Delta Airlines. He worked there for 28 years before retiring as a Fueling Supervisor.  He was a member of the Rehoboth Church of the Nazarene. Herman loved blue grass music and played the mandolin in several bands. He often performed at the Music Barn in Williamson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa "Terri" Phillips, his brother, Raymond Shehee and his sisters, Wynette Massey, Athlene Rainey, Geraldine Smith and Sandra Johnson.

He is survived by his wife: JoAnn M. Shehee; children: Jim Shehee (Teresa), Shelley Peeples (Kerry) and Debra Bowles (Alvin McCullough);  son-in-law: Andy Phillips; 3 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 26, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor James D. Wilson officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
