James Stone

Mr. James Harold Stone, Jr., age 53, of Zebulon, passed away July 27, 2025, at his home. He grew up in Pike County and was a well-known mechanic.  James loved hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his dog Padme more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Harold "Jimmy" Stone, Sr., his sister, Gina Stone and his grandmother, Vivian Peace.

He is survived by his daughter: Tiffani Stone and her mother, Robin Pierce; mother: Melody Stone; sister: Ginger Lester (Henry); nephews and a niece: Matthew Lester, Jr. (Evelyn), Christopher Lester, and Emily Mattox (Bryan); his best (dog) friend Padme; many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service celebrating James' life will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Lester and Pastor Jan Masters officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
