Janelle Mckinley

Mrs. Janelle Brazier McKinley, age 87, of Zebulon, passed away August 19, 2023, at her home.  She was a life-long resident of Zebulon, daughter of the late John Henry Brazier, Jr., and the late Ada Elliott Brazier.  Mrs. McKinley worked at Sherri Lynn Manufacturing in Zebulon for many years and attended Christian Fellowship Baptist Church.  She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, needlework, crafting and silk floral arranging.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Douglas McKinley, her son, Arthur Joseph "Joe" McKinley, great-grandsons, Jackson Christian Steger and John Evan Hurt and her brother, Russell Brazier.

She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Steger (Ronnie) of Milledgeville and Kay Sawyer (Hal) of Zebulon; grandchildren: Shanna Needham (Kevin), Jason Bleu Flournoy (Jennifer), Brantley Steger (Crystal), Chad Steger (Brenda), and Kayla Hurt (John); and many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 1 p.m., in the Zebulon United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Al Shackelford and Mr. Terrell Moody will officiate.
