Jean Ellis

Emma Jean "Mama Jean" Ellis, age 87, of Williamson, passed away March 26, 2022, at Brightmoor Hospice.

Mrs. Ellis was born on April 8, 1934, in Griffin, daughter of the late Arch Crawford and the late Ethel Irene Entrikin Crawford. She loved working in her yard and was a excellent cook. She worked at the daycare at Griffin First Assembly for many years. Mama Jean's calling in life was to serve others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis; sons, Mike, Perry Sr., and Danny Wilson; brother, Charles Crawford; sister, Joyce Crawford.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sheila and Charles Jackson of Irwinton; son and daughter in law, Barry and Bonnie Wilson of Pike County; daughter in law, Judy Wilson of Barnesville; brother and sister in law, Ricky and Sarah Crawford of Griffin; sisters and brothers in law, Billie Gunn of Zebulon, Marie and Henry Manderson of Jacksonville, FL, Dorothy and Ronnie Gregory of Griffin, JoAnn Anderson of Lake Hartwell, Gail Blanks of Zebulon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
