Jerry Stamey

Mr. Jerry O'Neal Stamey, age 83, of Griffin, passed away October 26, 2022.  He was born in North Carolina, son of the late William Howard Stamey and Rachel Carter Stamey. Jerry was an excellent mechanic and carpenter. He loved to fish, eat cheeseburgers and share his knowledge with others.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie "Bootsie" Stamey.

He is survived by his sons: Jacob Ronald Pittman of Madison, Jerry Jason Pittman of Pike County, Timothy O'Neal Stamey of Griffin and Trenton Matthew Stamey (Crystal) of Molena; daughter: Amanda Louise Stamey of Griffin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 12:00 p.m., in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
