Jessie Cannon

Mrs. Jessie Lue Garner Cannon, age 91, of Meansville, passed away February 3, 2022.  She was the 9 ^th of 18 children born to the late William Thomas Garner and Emma Helms Garner. Mrs. Cannon was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Brooks. She worked for Spalding Knitting Mills for over 40 years. She spent her life caring for her siblings, children and grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress and made beautiful clothes for herself and her family. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. She loved to share her flowers with others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. L. Cannon, all of her 17 siblings, and her children, Barbara Holloway, Connie Cannon and Billy Cannon, and her grandson, Juddson Gambrell.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Jessica Lalumiere (Ken) and Jason Horton; great-grandsons: Mason and Jack Lalumiere; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 6, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Mark James officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Hebron Cemetery in Concord.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eternal Hope Hospice, 123 N. 18 ^th Street, Griffin, GA 30223, in memory of Mrs. Cannon.
