Mr. James Charles "Jim" Weston, age 74, of Concord, passed away on June 25, 2026. Jim grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the son of the late Charles Newton Weston and the late Georgia Marie Scheutzel Weston. Following his graduation from high school, Jim earned a degree in engineering from the University of Missouri Rolla. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served for four years. For most of his career, Jim worked for Delta Air Lines, retiring as a project manager.
Jim earned his private pilot's license, built his own airplane, and thoroughly enjoyed flying. He found great enjoyment in radio-controlled aircraft and spent many hours building and repairing electronics.
For many years, Jim was a member and deacon at Zebulon First Baptist Church and more recently, he was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Mahaffey Weston.
He is survived by his wife: Myriam Elena Weston; children: Jered Weston and Chris Weston (Libby), Maria Elena, Maria Alexander, Rhonda Morris (Allan), and Shane Turner (Julie); grandchildren: William, Kathryn, Evelyn, Kelsey, Matthew, Megan, Mason, Tyler, and Elenita; great-grandchildren: Donna, Lucas, Charlotte and Houston; brother: Ken Weston; several nieces and nephews.
