Jimmie Mills

Mrs. Jimmie Nell Jarrard Mills, age 88, of Morrow, formerly of Atlanta, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, at Brightmoor Nursing Home. She was born in Dahlonega, daughter of the late James Casper Jarrard, Sr. and Hazel Elizabeth Hope Jarrard. She grew up in the Lakewood Heights area of Atlanta.  For most of her working life, Mrs. Mills was bookkeeper and later in life became a manager for public storage units, retiring from AOK Storage. She spent most of her retirement years living in Morrow.  Mrs. Mills enjoyed collecting jewelry and will be remembered for her love of life and her great sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Mills, former husband Charles Segers, granddaughter, Ashley Cox, twin great-grandsons, Chris and Clay Kelly, sister, Ella Jean Jarrard Hanes and a brother, Charles Albert Jarrard.

She is survived by her daughters: Jackie Nauck (Reggie) of Williamson, Terry Segers of Hiram and Vickie Segers Hosch of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren: Zachary Nauck (Angel), Whitney Worley (Andrew), and Sonya Kelly (Chris); great-grandchildren: Hannah, Maggie and Eli Nauck, Lauren Kelly, Alex Westbrook (Blake) and Townsend and Everly Worley; great-great-grandchildren: Laken and Cole Westbrook; sisters: Martha Ann Sinor of Williamson and Barbara Jo Clark of Murfreesboro, TN; brother: James C. Jarrard, Jr. of Savannah; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Smith officiating.

Friends may visit the family after the service at the funeral home.
