John Duffey

Mr. John Mark Duffey, age 56, of The Rock, passed away April 14, 2024, at his home.  He grew up in Jonesboro and graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1985.  For most of his life, John was a maintenance technician. He enjoyed tinkering, fishing, and watching Andy Griffith, In the Heat of the Night, and shows about Big Foot.  John was an avid Braves and GA Bulldog fan.  He was a simple man who was known for his quality work.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Laila and sister, Sandra Reese.

He is survived by his children: JoAnna Duffey, Sarah Duffey, and John Duffey; grandchildren: Jovahn, Hayleigh, Abigail, Shadan and JJ; brother: Anthony "Boots" Duffey; his nephew and best friend:  Jeff Prator; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
