Jonathan Chace Martin

Jonathan Chace Martin, age 31, of Milner, passed away June 2, 2022, while working in Atlanta.  Jon graduated from Jackson High School. He began working with his dad in the gunite swimming pool business when he was young. He was also working for at least five other companies.  Jonathan enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John Kingsley Martin Sr. and Mabel Catherine Martin, and his uncles and aunt, Thomas Martin, Connie Martin and John Kingsley Martin, Jr.

He is survived by his father: Michael Chace Martin of Milner; mother: Lisa Welch Martin of Jackson; brother: Daniel Miles Martin (Jessica) and daughter Cecilia Martin of Ellijay; grandmother: Dorothy Snider of McDonough; uncle: Joe Martin of Atlanta; aunt: Amy Jewitt of NC; fiancé: Natalie Clay; cousins: Jeremy Martin (Stephanie), Adam Martin (Shannon) of Fayetteville; Casey Martin of TX, Matthew Martin of Williamson, Sarah Martin (Darren Thong) of CA, Michael Welch of Marietta and Diane Padgett of MO; many more cousins and a multitude of friends.

Friends may visit the family on Friday, June 10, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 605 Maddox Road, Griffin. Mr. Ron Harrison will be speaking.

Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.

There will be pot-luck and a possible throw-down after the service at Mike Martin's house, 6550 New Hope Road, Milner.
