June Jones

Mrs. Lanetta June Stephens Jones, age 64, of Jackson, passed away February 18, 2022.  She was born in Griffin, daughter of the late Ralph Stephens and Elizabeth Williams Stephens. June graduated from Griffin High School in 1974 and still kept in touch with many of her classmates. She worked at Spalding Knitting Mills for many years. June enjoyed reading and road trips to the mountains and the GA coast. She loved the Lord and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her cousins, Ann Ison and Jack Ison.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years: Mark Jones; son: Jeremy Sampler; step-son: Flint Jones; cousins and their spouses: Shirley Ison, Virginia Callaway, Kenneth Ison, Terry and Terri Ison, Glenda Mercure, Jerry and Lisa Ison, David and Carol Ison, and Dana Simmons; many cousins, classmates and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, 2 p.m., at Open Arms Church, 487 E. Milner Road, Zebulon. Pastor Terry Ison and Glenda Mercure will officiate.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, 1p.m. to 2 p.m., at the church.
