June Wells

Mrs. June Guthrie Wells, age 85, of Zebulon, passed away October 19, 2021.  June was born in Loganville, GA, daughter of the late James and Bessie Guthrie. She was a God loving woman and active at First Assembly of God Church in McDonough.  After moving to Zebulon, she attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Williamson. June enjoyed gardening, traveling, especially trips to the beach, gathering for meals with her family, doing word searches and watching TV. Crime shows and westerns were her favorite.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Murray Wells, four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her children: Wandell Mark Wells (Susan) of Stockbridge, David Wayne Wells (Willene) of McDonough, and Cheryl Wells Gilbert (Richard) of Zebulon; grandchildren: Laura Hammond (Walter), Leslie Dixon (Bradley), Lindsay Duncan (Bradley), Jonathon Gilbert (Cassie) and Ryan Gilbert (Dixie); great-grandchildren: Lilly Rose Gilbert, Sailor Grace Gilbert, Jack Teagan Gilbert, Nathan Hammond, Eli Hammond and Isaiah Hammond; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 24, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor John Nance officiating.  Burial will follow in Moody Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, October 24, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
