Katie Russo

Ms. Kathleen "Katie" Marie Russo, age 55, of Griffin, passed away May 4, 2025.  Katie was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Frank Russo, Sr. and Karen Neville Russo.  Katie moved to Georgia when she was young and lived in the Jonesboro, Riverdale and East Point areas. She was a homemaker and worked for a few years at Shoney's in College Park and Forest Park.

Katie loved to laugh and enjoyed puzzles and especially being with her grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Frank "Frankie" Russo, Jr. and her beloved dogs, BoBo and Squirt.

She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Ward (John) of Griffin; grandchildren: Jeremiah Russo, Isabelle Ward, and Lyla Russo Ward; sisters: Angie, Sherry, Debugs and Debbie; and brother: Joey Russo.

Other close relatives, cousins: Patrick Russo and Lola Carrty; niece: Savannah Russo; and great-nephew: Sabath Russo.

She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.  Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
