Keegan Byrne

Keegan Montgomery Byrne, age 16, of Pike County, passed away January 16, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin. Keegan had a love for music, sports, and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time at the beach and the lake, where he felt most free and at peace. Known for his beautiful blue eyes, Keegan left a lasting impression on everyone who met him. He was tough and resilient, and he had a unique way of expressing himself. Keegan will be remembered for his sweet spirit that touched those around him.

He is survived by his mother: Holly McNeal (Jaimie); sisters: Adriana and Gabriella; father: David Byrne (Dilcia and children); sister: Chloe Puckett (Chris and children); brother: Twyman Byrne; grandparents: Donna "GiGi" McNeal, Jason "Granddaddy" McNeal, David and Darlene Byrne, and Peggy Byrne; great-grandparents: Larry and Rebecca Mashburn, Larry and Tonia Welch, Brenda Tuten, Larry McNeal; aunts and uncles: Hannah Duncan (Drew, Ivy Grace, Sarah, Madilyn), Jacob McNeal (Montana), Kristen Kennedy (Ronnie, Kane) Wendy Byrne, Kristie Davis (Ryan, Sydney, JC, Bri, and Rhett), Kerri Warren (Miles, Olivia, and Parker), Dustin Price, Kay and Edward Reckart (Donald, Dallas, and family)  and many remaining relatives and close friends.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.

A service to celebrate Keegan's life will follow at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Chaplain Kevin Murdock officiating.
