Linda Scott

Mrs. Linda Lou Garner Scott, age 66, of Williamson, passed away December 1, 2023, at Spalding Regional Medical Center.  She grew up in Hollonville, daughter of the late Jasper Garner and Audrey Tanksley Garner.  In her early years, she worked as a seamstress at Sherri Lynn Manufacturing in Zebulon for 15 years and then an additional 15 years at the Georgia Experiment Station in Griffin. Linda enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, fishing, and playing games on her computer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Garner, W. J. Garner and Quenton Garner, and two infant sisters, Baby Garner and Robin Garner.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years:  Jerry Scott; daughter and son-in-law: Sheena and Ryan Mitchell; grandchildren: Jayde, Jax and Brantley Mitchell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Karen Garner, Jasper and Donna Garner, and Stanley and Joy Garner; sister and brother-in-law: Patsy and Charlie Meacham; sisters-in-law: Marie Sanders and Peggy House; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Hollonville Cemetery.
