Lynda Frank

Lynda Sorrells Frank peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on October 2, 2025. She was born in Atlanta, GA, to Edgar Luther Sorrells and Elsie Mae Sorrells. Lynda grew up in East Point, GA, where she graduated from Russell High School in 1968. After high school, she attended Georgia State College which led to her career as a computer programmer with JCPenny until her retirement.

In 1983, Lynda married the love of her life, William "Bill" Frank. They enjoyed 34 exciting years of adventures as they traveled and made the most of their decades together. They traveled in their motor home with their beloved dogs while making many new friends along the way. Lynda adored Bill and her dogs, and they filled her life with so much joy.

God gifted Lynda with a beautiful alto singing voice. She used that gift to serve in the choir at each church she attended. She not only sang in the choir, but also in the ladies' quartet at First Baptist Church of Zebulon where she and Bill were long-time and devoted members. Another gift of Lynda's was her passion for cooking. She enjoyed cooking for her family, friends and dogs. Cooking was a way for her to show her love to others. She was a loyal and generous person who would willingly help anyone in need. She loved Jesus and was thankful for all the blessings in her life, and she was a blessing to everyone who knew her.

Along with her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Frank (who passed eight years to the day on October 2, 2017), She is also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Sidney Jones, stepson Ronnie Frank, stepdaughter Karen Ochipa, and stepgranddaughter Jessica Frank.

Lynda is survived by her brother, Stan Sorrells, sister Karen (Buddy) Holliday, stepson Doug (Sue) Frank, stepgrandchildren Jason Ochipa, Eric Ochipa, Trever Ochipa, Joshua Frank, Matthew Frank and Christopher Frank. Also, nephew Alan Jones, nieces Lisa Jones Hill and Tracey Phillips, great nieces, great nephews and step greatgrandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Heartis Memory Care staff who loved and cared for Lynda so well for the last seven years of her life. Also, thank you to Brightmoor Hospice for the support they provided in Lynda's passing.
