Mamie Lee Head

Ms. Mamie Lee Head, age 83, of Molena, formerly of Whitesburg, passed away June 24, 2022. Mamie was born in Atlanta, daughter of the late William Sydney Dean and Willie Mae Glover Dean. She worked for the Carroll County Board of Education for 20 years before retiring as secretary to the Superintendent. She loved flowers and shopping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bubba Dean.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kim Gaines, Jody and Darlene Head and Shaun and Rebecca Head; grandchildren: Jordan, Abbey, Cody, Ethan, Caden, and Ryker; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Maxim Lee; sisters and a brother-in-law: Rena and James Boatfield, Hazel Sutherland, and Bobbie Ficalore; brother: Sonny Dean; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
