Martha Elrod

Mrs. Martha Ruth Price Elrod, age 79, of Thomaston, formerly of Zebulon, passed away March 26, 2026, at Harborview Health Care in Thomaston. Martha was born in Atlanta, daughter of the late Henry C. Price and the late Lenora Bell Price.  Martha was a pharmacy technician at the Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta for many years and owned and operated a pet boarding and grooming salon at her home in Zebulon.

Martha enjoyed bird watching, riding and showing horses and listening to music.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmas "Doc" Elrod, infant son, Jeffery Elrod, daughter, Donna Eldrod, brother, Ray Price and brother-in-law, Steve Marchall.

She is survived by her sister: Jane Marshall; nephew: Ken Lalumiere (Jessica); niece: Denise Denson (Dock); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Zebulon. Pastor Chet Yates will officiate.
