Mr. Wayne Lee "Matt" German, age 73, of Concord, passed away November 19, 2025, at his home. Matt was born in Worcester, MA, son of the late Phillip Germain and the late Edith Mathieu Germain. Matt was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for four years and then reenlisted in the United States Army, serving an additional 24 years.  In August of 1980, Matt wed the love of his life, Sandra Bond. They lived in Asheville, NC for 37 years before making Concord their home.

Matt was incredibly patriotic and had the biggest heart.  He always put others before himself and was extremely devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a long-time and faithful member of Concord Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra "Sandy" Bond Germain, father-in-law and mother-in-law, who were more like parents, Dan and Margaret Bond, and brothers, Phil Germain, Greg Germain and Paul Germain.

He is survived by his brother: Russ Germain; sister: Gail Ketchum; nieces and nephews: Sheena McNeely (David), Paul Germain (Cindy), Daniel "Hack" Lehman (Charisse), Amy Germain, Adam Germain and Nichole Howarth (Nick); sister-in-law: Alicia Pastiran (George); son: Seth Germain; many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A service celebrating Matt's life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Griffin will officiate and American Legion Post #197 Commander Bryan Richardson will present Matt's military biography.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
