Matthew Bullington

Mr. Joseph Matthew "Matt" Bullington, age 42, passed away January 15, 2023.  Matt grew up in the Barnesville and Thomaston areas, graduating from Lamar County High School. He was a free spirit who loved the outdoors. The sky was his ceiling, and the ground was his floor.  He spent several years in Oregon and always wanted to return there.  He was currently working at Longhorn Steakhouse in Thomaston.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul Piper, Aunt Shannon Serene and step-father Ken Carpenter.

He is survived by his son:  Hayden Bullington; mother: Joey Ellington (John) of Thomaston; his father: Jim Bullington (Robin) of Thomaston; brothers and sisters:  Andrew Bullington, Jessica Carpenter, Cora Lewis (Josh), Giacinto "Charlie" Serene, Kristov Serene, and Ashleigh Shelley (Johnny); grandmother: Nedra Piper; uncle: Tate Piper; best Friend: Joseph Karimiha; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends across the country.

A Celebration of Life service for Matt will be held at a later date.
