Milan Parks

Mr. Milan Murphy "Milo" Parks, age 69, of Milner, passed away October 12, 2022, at his residence.

Milo was born on October 29, 1952, in Atlanta. He graduated from Walker High School where he was an All-American athlete who excelled in all sports. He worked for CSX Railroad for several years and later owned and operated Milo's Upholstery and Custom Trim. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam era and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Ellenwood.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Parks; sons, Joseph (Jody) Milan Parks and wife, Lindsey of McDonough and Matthew Glen Parks and wife, Julie of Hartsfield; grandchildren, Bradley Parks, Jackson Parks, and Hannah Welsh.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at 3 PM, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Ellenwood. Rev. Claire Yoder will officiate. Friends may visit the family beginning at 1 PM, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist two very special families to Milo, the Geltz and Hortman families, as they face medical uncertainties. Donations may be given directly to Cindy or any of the close family.
