Mitch Reeves

Mitchell Scott Reeves, 53, of Mableton, GA, died at his residence on Saturday, September 12th, 2026. A native of Zebulon, GA, he was born at Griffin Hospital (now Wellstar Spalding Medical Center) on July 23rd, 1973 to Donald McKenzie Reeves (deceased) and Lynda Morris Reeves. He graduated from Pike County High School in Zebulon where he was the 1991 Star Student. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology where he was a member, like his brother before him, of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. He worked for several years at Laserdisc Enterprises / Georgia Home Theater, as a Personal Trainer, and as security at Cowboy’s Concert Hall in Kennesaw, before commencing a 17-year career at Delta Airlines in the “Super Tug” Aircraft Movement Department.

His interests included singing karaoke, attending as many concerts as possible, skydiving, and participating in the Events and Adventures Atlanta Social Club. Mitch had many friends across the USA, including many he kept in touch with from his schooldays in Pike County.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Mark and Valerie Reeves of Snellville, GA, niece Elizabeth Reeves of Scottdale, GA, nephew Jackson Reeves of Athens, GA, aunt Marie Knight of Zebulon, and many cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held, Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon, GA with a visitation beginning at 10:00.
