Octavia DeLaGarza

Ms. Octavia Martina DeLaGarza, age 54, of Griffin, passed away September 8, 2026, at her home. Octavia grew up in the Atlanta area and was the daughter of the late Anthony DeLaGarza and Ruth Duke DeLaGarza.

Octavia loved to laugh and have a good time. She was always up for shenanigans and had a playful spirit that brought joy to those around her. She enjoyed playing scary games, watching random videos, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends

She is survived by her partner: Leslie Presnell; children: Nicholas DeLaGarza (Naomi), Martina Ford (Bradley), and Justin Morris; grandchildren: David, Aleeya, Dalen, Amelia, Mia, Skylar and Ana; a brother and sisters: Tony DeLaGarza, Tonya DeLaGarza and Tabitha Norman and their families.

A celebration of Octavia’s life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 2 p.m., at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, 6740 GA-362, Williamson. Pastor Chris Watson will officiate.
