Otha Trice

Mr. Otha Eugene Trice, age 79, of Griffin, passed away on February 5, 2026, at his home. Otha was born in Zebulon, son of the late James Willis "J. W." Trice and the late Nancy Snow Trice. He worked as a shipping clerk for Holan Manufacturing for 29 years, followed by 9 years with General Machine.

In his younger years, he loved fishing and hunting. He was a hardworking, independent man who thought he was always right, and most of the time he was. Above all, Otha was a devoted father who supported his family in everything they did. Whenever they needed him, he was always there.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Trice.

He is survived by his children: Timothy "Tim" Trice (Cindy) and Tammy Hatchett (Odis); grandchildren: Tyler Hatchett (Amanda), Chandler Hatchett (Chevy), Trever Hatchett, Laney Hatchett, Callie Trice and Mathew Trice; brothers and a sister: Warren Trice (Judy), Terrell Trice, Larry Trice, Wayne Trice (Ida), Barbara Trice and Kenneth Trice; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Otha's life will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 123 Landing Way, Griffin, GA 30223.
