Patricia (Pat) Faye Wyatt Garvin, age 78, of Griffin, passed away March 10, 2025.
Patricia was born in Savannah, daughter of the late William M. Wyatt and Lessiemae Roberson Wyatt. She attended Chatham Junior High and Savannah High School. Before settling in Griffin, she and her family lived in Hardeeville, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia for many years. She was deeply involved in her community and became an active member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) Sorority, where she was a charter member of the Sigma Tau Chapter. Through ESA, she participated in service projects for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She also had a lifelong passion for bowling and was an active member of the Women's International Bowling Congress (WIBC). She regularly attended the Women's Southeastern Regional Bowling Tournaments. In Savannah, she bowled in the "Monday Morning Coffee League" and the "Blessed Sacrament Bowling League" for over 30 years. In bowling, she often won High Game and High Set. Later when she lived in Griffin, she retired from the Griffin-Spalding County School System. She was an active member of Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She continued to bowl with the "Rock Springs Bowling League," enjoying the fellowship with her church family as they shared the joy of bowling together. Over the years she established many close friendships that she treasured and gained many close bonds that have lasted her entire life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Linda Hillis.
She is survived by her husband: William "Billy" D. Garvin; children: William "Don" D. Garvin and Kathy Clark; grandchildren: Georgianna "Georgia" Clancy Clark Montano (Francisco) and Terry Wyatt Clark; great granddaughters: Veronica, Vanesa, and Vivica Montano; brother: Keith Wyatt (Sandra); several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2025, at 11am in Providence Church at Rock Springs at 1013 Chappell Milll Rd. Milner, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, March 28, 2025, in Bonaventure Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
Please bring a chair if you need one. There will be a short committal sevice, then a time of visiting with family and friends. The dress is casual/comfortable clothes. Some may wish to bring cards or flowers and that is fine to do so.
