Patsy Louise Whitmire

Ms. Patsy Louise Whitmire, age 73, of Pike County, passed away September 30, 2022.

Patsy was born on February 6, 1949, to the late Charlie Monroe Kimmons, Sr. and Elizabeth Barber Kimmons. She retired from American Woodmark after 18 years with the company. She was a resident of Pike County for the past 19 years. Patsy enjoyed computer games and trips to casinos. She loved visiting the beach. Patsy was a people person who never met a stranger. She was a beloved mother, Granny Pat, sister, and friend to many.

Along with her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Albert Whitmire.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Paul and Tammy Whitmire of Pike County, Melissa and William Yancy of Jackson, Brian and Veronica Whitmire of Pike County; grandchildren: Zachary Whitmire, Summer Weason, Haley Shirah, Mckenzie Yancy, Hannah Whitmire, Jessica Bass, Courtney Bernhardt; great-grandchildren: Kate Weason, Silas Shirah, Canaan Bernhardt, Quinn Bernhardt, Kaylee Swafford, Karsin Bass, Ava Bass; brothers: Charlie Monroe Kimmons, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Hiram, John Kimmons and his wife Donna of Griffin; special friends: Nita, Rhonda & Perry.

Friends may visit the family from 3 to 5 PM on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
