Pursey Mons

Mr. Pursey Ruel Mons, Jr., age 85, of Meansville, passed away May 6, 2024.  He was born in Atlanta, son of the late Pursey Ruel Mons, Sr., and Loranne Bradley Mons.  He was a veteran of the United States Army. For most of his working life, Pursey was a self-employed house painter. He enjoyed playing drums, fishing, and hunting.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Mons, sons, Gene Jenkins, and Michael Keith Jenkins, sister and brother, Bobbie Mons, and Bo Mons.

He is survived by his grandchildren: Richard Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Brandie Lynn (Michael), Brad Jenkins, Jessica Jenkins, Courtney Jenkins, and Devin Jenkins; great-grandchildren: Makia Jenkins, Michael Lynn, Susie Lynn, Jayden Jenkins, and Makyla Lynn; brother and a sister:  David Mons and Susan Scarbrough; nephews and a niece: John Mons, Timmy Mons, Andy Mons, and Shelby Mons.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
