Rae Holliday

Mrs. Rae Elizabeth Holliday, age 97, of Concord, formerly of Lithonia, passed away February 26, 2022.  She was born in Whitesville, NY, daughter of the late Ray Edwin Hurlburt and Anna Laura Grover Hurlburt.  Mrs. Holliday earned her Master's degree from Georgia State University and was a business teacher for many years, retiring from Atlanta Public School System at the age of 70. Mrs. Holliday was a long-time member of Lithonia United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed sewing and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Janner Holliday, Jr., and her sister, Barbara Spateholts.

Mrs. Holliday is survived by her sons: Clyde Grover Holliday and Raymond Gary Holliday (Carol); daughters: Rae Anna Pamplin and Norma Jean Bray (Mark); sister: Phyllis Rigby; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, March 2, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the funeral home.  A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.
