Richard Gayton

Mr. Richard Craig Gayton, age 64, of Concord, passed away December 8, 2023, at his home.  For most of his life, Richard worked as an automobile mechanic and for several years he owned and operated Bud's Automotive in Zebulon. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite drivers were Bill and Chase Elliott. Richard was fun-loving and enjoyed having a good time.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd "Bud" and Faye Gayton.

He is survived by his wife:  Kristie Gayton; son: Eddie Wilson of Woodstock; grandchildren: Preston and Clayton Wilson; step-children: Brandon Foster (Shannon) of AL, Jimmy Z. Foster of Zebulon, and Jacob Hightower of Barnesville; step-grandchildren: Brookleigh, Dalton and Evelyn Foster; brothers: Dennis Gayton (Daryl Hulsey) of Cleveland and Larry Gayton of Macon.

It was Richard's wish to be cremated and no formal services are planned.
