Robert Peugh

Mr. Robert L. Peugh, age 73, of Griffin passed away on November 7th, 2024.

Robert was born on January 19, 1951, in Barnesville, son of the late Robert Mallory Peugh and the late Estelle Conley Stephens. He grew up in Barnesville and graduated from Milner High School. He served 4 years in the US Navy and another 16 years in the Army National Guard. Robert loved to fish, cut grass, and spend time with his grandchildren. He retired from Southern States in Hampton. He loved reading the Bible and was a member of Vega Community Church.

In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his granddaughter, Sofie.

Survivor's include his wife, Joy Peugh; sons and daughters-in-law, James Peugh (Michelle) of Louisiana, Robert Stanfield (Dana) of Griffin, William Hodge of Rockmart; daughters and sons-in-law, April Bethune (David Mayfield) of Thomaston, Kayla Bates (Christopher) of Thomaston; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie Dawson (Randy) of Meansville; grandchildren, Destiny, Hunter, Savannah, Travis, Zoey, Takoda, Kylie, Ruthie, Niko, Brayden, Jessey, Trevor, Donna, Angel, Hannah, Abbi, Madison, Courtney; great grandchildren, Kinsley, Ari, Krystal, Katelyn, Brooklyn, Bailey, Wyatt; nephew, Chad Dawson (Cindia); fur baby, Lucy.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2024, at Noon in the chapel of Vega Community Church, Pastor Ken Horton officiating.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville at a later date.
