Robert Michael Roark Sr.

Mr. Robert Michael "Mike" Roark Sr., age 63, of Concord, passed away September 8, 2021, at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

Mike was born on June 16, 1958, in Atlanta, son of the late Roswold C. Roark and the late Mary Gregory Roark. He retired from Kroger with 35 years of service, and for the past 11 years, he was a bus driver for Pike County Schools. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer with the Cedars and Cabin Creek groups. Mike was a dedicated Father and PawPaw and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Roark.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Bobby and Robin Roark of Newnan, Linda Mines of Concord, Heather Roark of Concord, Andrew and Kayla Roark of Williamson; grandchildren, Kaleb Mines, Jaxson Mines, Victoria Roark, Bob Rad, Andrew "A.J" Roark Jr., Braxten Roark; brother-in–law and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Marie Woods of Ellijay and Barbara Woods of Germany.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 6-8 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 12 Noon, in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hanger Foundation, 10910 Domain Drive, Suite 300, Austin, TX 78758, in memory of Mike. Donations may also be dropped off at the funeral home.
